CCLI's 2011 Action Project Cool the Climate

• Cool the Climate means cooling the heated politics and misinformation about global warming // We must focus instead on the scientific facts about human induced climate change, on what New Mexico stands to lose back-tracking in denial, and on what we will gain by acting sensibly to solve the problem > SIGN UP FOR COOL THE CLIMATE
• Cool the Climate means cooling down the climate by phasing out the red hot CO2 emissions in our economy // We must protect & extend the progress we've made transforming our carbon based economy > Lead & partner with us (by taking the Power Pledge, enrolling in Lead Your Revolution, passing it on);
• Cool the Climate means being cool headed & constructive // We must achieve reductions in other potent greenhouse gas emissions beyond just fixating on controversial carbon controls > Find local ways to reduce our emissions of nitrous oxide, methane and the other potent GHGs;
• Cool the Climate means using the Montreal Protocol as a model and vehicle for sensible action (i.e. using natural coolants over HFCs) > We must raise awareness & generate action for efficient, pollution free refrigeration & air conditioning;
• Cool the Climate means water consciousness // We must realize our water use wastes a lot of energy & our energy use wastes & pollutes a lot of water > Encourage the conservation of energy & water at once (go to the Conservation Quest);
• Cool the Climate, when it gets down to it, means being cool // It's cool being part of the solution rather than the problem, it's cool to sustain our planet instead of polluting it >
