Education

Compelling the United States to take genuine responsibility for our climate pollution, fully embrace the solutions needed and help work with the world in an entirely new direction requires a vigorous education campaign. The general public must understand: 1) the unmistakable and scientifically proven human link to global warming; 2) that the US emits per capita and historically the lion's share of greenhouse gas emissions; 3) the grave consequences of inaction; and 4) the increasingly bright opportunities in store as we phase out greenhouse gasses and revolutionize our economy to be fully powered with renewable energy, state of the art energy efficiency with a premium on conservation.

  • This Institute engages the local community as well as the citizenry of our country and others to learn the facts, apply lessons and participate in solutions
  • We collaborate with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to provide annual tuition assistance & scholarship support to help New Mexico students locally pursue higher education in environmental, earth and/or atmospheric science.
  • We offer paid student internships CCLIs student Internship Program and Stewardship Workshop
  • We locally give out education leadership seed grant awards (see below for the history of recipients)
